Dean of Girls MARION MAIDEN Presenting as a background excellent training at both Wellesley cmd t Western Reserve Colleges. Marion Maiden, dean of girls, offers the young ladies of South High sound and adequate advice in their many problems throughout the school year. In addition, Miss Maiden offers a deep sincerity and understanding of present-day youth which, when combined with her warm and friendly per- sonality, enables her to gain the confidence of everyone. To aid her in keeping up with the times Miss Maiden also teaches senior English classes, a duty which gives her the opportunity of observing the masculine side of our school in action. -'if Page Eight lif-

Assistant Principal . . Dave Williams, assistant principal and dean of boys, is a former South High graduate of the class of 1916. After completing his work here, Dave went on to Newberry College in South Carolina and later received a Master of Arts degree from the University of Pittsburgh. Returning to South in 1933 as an assistant coach, he started up the edu- cational ladder, first as dean of boys and in l947 combined those duties with his present work as assistant principal. Known to everyone as Dave , he has won innumerable friends with his cheerful smile, sparkling eyes and effective guidance. DAVID WILLIAMS Page Seven 132-
