As the Tattler staff nears the end of its publishing year, it pauses and looks back over the past and takes stock of what it has accomplished, Many of the services which it rendered the school came through the editorial page. One of the first editorials which brought about a noticeable result this year was Keep the Homecoming Clean. Though it aroused the ire of some alumni, they took immediate action and the 1938 Homecoming was characterized by some of the most civilized behavior in years. Out of the Homecoming Shambles came another thought. For this occasion, and various other shows where home talent is desired, some sort of a bureau which would have information concerning theatrical ability available is needed. After the Tattler ran an edif torial explaining this need, the student council estabf lished a talent bureau. In order that the school dances would be better patronized, a boys' dancing class grew out of a plea from the school paper, However at one of the dances, incif dentally the most popular one of the season, the dire tragedy of having the decorations torn down half way through the party brought exelamations of anger from the staff. An editorial resulted and the decorations ref mained untouched at the next dance. Ittttlvr BOSSES W,-, Seated: Kleiman, Everetts, Hauer, Seibers.
