School, the first thing we all think of as the fall season begins! We start pulling out the pens, pencils, notebooks, and books with new resolutions to keep them neat and rea ly study this year. Program cards to be stamped, endless schedule cards to be filled. Even though some people hibernate at the start of school, for most it is a time for waking up and getting back into the swing of things. Besides the end of vacation and start of school, other changes occur. The leaves change to hues of crimson and russet and then begin to fall. Temperatures drop from the heat of 90° to the comfort of 50°. For some it is a romantic, nostalgic time of year, for others the beginning of the dreaded winter just ahead. Fall, a fight with leaves, a crunchy walk in Bedford Reservation, a football game, a horseback ride, a hayride, a bonfire, a trick or treater, a pumpkin, a Thanksgiving dinner, a ride in the country . . .
