CLASS PROPHECY By Jesse Chambers, Geraldine Chambers and Gloria Ezekiel One fall day while sitting in our Garden, a sudden wind came up, with a great twirl, and started blowing leaves off our future tree. As the wind became stronger our eyes were focused upon each leaf, for each leaf was foretelling the future of our fellow classmates of l962. On the first leaf we see Edgar Jackson and William Daniel playing basketball at St. Paul University with Larry Miles as bookkeeper. We see Winston Goggins editor of the Columbus Ledger. We see Helen Black still trying to get a stairway up lngersoll Hill. We see Sarah Brown trying to keep Eddie Ford off Seale Road with Edna Cannon. We see Curtisteen Walker and Joan Lewis as great dancers on Rocking with Leroy Carter. Tom Harris is a Chemistry teacher at Clark College. Leon Todd and Erma Sellers have finally tied the knot. More leaves are falling, we see James Feagines as a doctor at Los Angeles Memorial Hospital with Bobbie William private nurse. Joseph Austin still pimping down Seale Road looking for Margaret Gosha. James Adams, a great singer in one of Chicago's great night clubs with James Anderson as his manager. Louise Madden is the owner of a. beauty salon with Bessie Allen her most faithful customer. l see Rosa Lockheart and Lottie Johnson instructor at South Girard High School. Julia Morris is a nurse at Walter Reid Hospital working under Dr, Jesse Chambers. We see Rose James and Mamie Allen owners of a sewing center in New York City. We see Harry Cox, a great musical director at Michigan School of music. We see Jimmy Edmond owner of l4th Street Service Station. Winston Cox, a professor at Chicago University. Mary Epps is a nurse at the Medical Center. Albert Lee, George Stickney, and Sam Bellamy are great football players for the Cleveland Browns with Frank Bellamy their starting quarterback. We see Arthur Woods and Mary Chambers are married and living happy after a. long struggle for success. Lillie Williams is the secretary at South Girard High School. James Jones head clerk at McCoy's Super Market. Richard Carter and Leroy Phearson are owners of a big race track in Louisville, Ky. Charlie Mack and Anderson Mack are still in jail for distrubing the peace with fire arms. More leaves are beginning to fall, oh there's Dorothy Smith, Doris Jones and Jacquelyn Epps, they are still trying to graduate. We see Albert Johnson, Hurker Jenkins and Johnny Hill at Richardson's Snack Ba.r eating ice cream. We see Hettie Stalling, a private secretary with Dorothy Jones as her boss. We see Joyce Williams, Carrie Stafford, Janice Randall, married and still keeping in close contact with each other. We see Sara Davis and James Jenkins finally getting married. Genever Richardson is a great hair stylist. Lonzo Reynolds is the world's strongest man. Austin Sumbry is the owner of Sumbry's Funeral Home. Daisy Benton is a model for Ebony Magazine. The leaves are falling, We see William Vann still trying to get out of Mr. Harrison's algebra class. lda Griggs is a great typist for the government. Edna Phearson is married and living happily. Lucille Morris is an English instructor at UCLA. Finally the last leaf is falling the wind has sjopped blowing. Geraldine Chambers is a designer for Jacquelyn Kennedy. Gloria Ezekiel is the head nurse of a hospital in California.
