EUODIA Row 3: Russell Chapppell, Betty Tillman, Wilson Bridges, Ralph Patterson, Ted The purpose of the Euodia Club, under the direction of the Bible Institute of Los Angeles, and instructed by Miss Kathryn Oestrich and supported by Miss Blanche Nesbit, is Bible study meeting spiritual needs of high school girls. The officers are, president, Betty Tillman: vice-president, Diana Dodge: secretary, Rose Skelton: and music chairman, Arba Engstrom. The club's aim is to develop traits in mem- bers that are inspiring to others. Memorizing Bible chapters and hymns give opportunities to develop public speaking abilities. Special meetings in the club house are held for learning Christian choruses, special solos and other selections. Activities which maintain friendly relations with other schools are also included in the Euodia program. Lynn, Margaret Hutchcroft, Betty Grande. ORPHEUS CLUB The Orpheus Club is the Music Appreciation society of South Gaye High School. Having chosen a community service program as its major activity, the club, directed by Mrs Genevieve Uhl, furnished musical pro- grams for local organizations. The social activities of the club have included attending the Operas La Traviata, Madame Butterfly, Romeo and Juliet, Rigoletto and La Boheme. Several parties were also given by members of the club. Officers for the last semester have been, president Arba Engstrom: vice-president, Ted Lynn: secretary, Evelyn Wollyf treasurer, Ralph Patterson, sergeant at arms, Betty Tillman. l t
