STUDENT COURT The purpose of the Student Cont is to try the cases of those who break Student Government rules and regulations. The judge for the fall term was Marilyn Anderson: during the spring semester Alice Berg presided. The judge's duty is to hear the evidence and render a decision. The cIerk's duty is issuing summons and keeping a record of sentences. For the first part of the year Joan Bradley had the job of clerk, while Shirley Cass finished out the year. LADIES The Ladies, honorary society for Senior girls, has fulhlled its purpose of serving the school in all ways, by acting as hostesses for Kiwanis Luncheon and the Eastern League Conference, ushering in assemblies and night perform- ances, holding collection drives for the Red Cross and the Harlan Shoemaker Clinic, and serving in the Cafeteria lines and at Faculty meetings. Under Jeanne DeVries, president the first ten weeks, and her officers, vice- president, Mary Kay White, secretary, Joyce Hart, treasurer, Jean Dymus, historian, Edith Menig, the girls attended a Biltmore play and held an Installation Tea, a Mother and Daughter Banquet and the Annual Breakfast, at which time Mary Lou Morris was elected president for the succeeding semester, Other officers, Florence Johnson, vice-president: Neila Marsh, secretary: Anna Eccles treasurer, and Mary Duncan, historian, were elected at the Installing Tea ol the second semester. The girls held a dance with the Knights and attended in outstanding movie in addition to their usuel banquet, tea and annual breake 'ast.
