The Co-operative Student Government functions together with the Student Court to carry on the Government of the Student Body, to see that all rules are enforced and to promote the welfare of the students of South Gate High School. This organization acts to coordinate the volunteer efforts of other school organi- zations and clubs which assist with Student Government. lt's motto is: Govern- ment of the students, by the students, and for the students. The organization is under the direction of Mr. Dyck and the officers are, president, Ray Traylorg commissioner of halls, Frances Horton: commissioner of grounds. Melvin Wright: and commissioner of gates and off bounds, Sammy Nahra.
