N155 Schuman GIRLS SPORTS G1rls Sports started off th1s year w1th Speed a way be1ng the first on the 11st Speed a way was a new sport lntroduced here at South Fork The gym classes eemed to e11oy lt, although the turnout for lntramurals was very small Wlth the ra1ny weather dr1ving us inside, excltlng the classes and at noon Volleyball and basketball se m to be the favorite sports among most of tae g1rls and a spectacular number turned out for each With spr1ng Just around the corner the girls got out the badmlnton rackets and the nb1rd1es' were now ln cons tant fl1ght Soon, lrtramurals were set up revealing the top players Near the end of school with the warm weather back agaln 'batter up' could be heard from the soffkall diamond signlfylng that softball was now ln full swlng Yes, with the competent COaCh1ng from our coach, teacher and frlend, M185 achuman, everyone w1ll agree that it was a terriflc year of Girls Sports, w1th much fun and work combined intramurals of volleyball and basketball were played in
