South Dorchester’s U.S. Treasury Savings Program The saving stamp program at South Dorchester provides the students with a way to save for the future. Stamps and saving bonds are sold weekly. With its many books, magazines, newspapers, filmstrips, recordings, other visual materials, and equipment, the central library of South Dorchester High School is an integral part of the school. The library staff strives to be helpful in assisting teachers and students in locating and checking out materials that may be used individually or by groups. The library serves as a key in helping students and faculty become better in- formed and educated citizens in helping to preserve our freedom.
