They are highly trained men who provide the link between the me- chanics ofthe steam propulsion plant and the sophisticated nuclear reactor. Known as reactor operators. the men of RC Division keep a 24 hour a day, 365 day a year watch over the reactor plant. ln addition. reactor operators are charged with the responsibility to maintain and repair all of the complex control and instrumentation equipment associ- ated with the reactor.
