S2 Division The Food Service Division responsibly pre- pares and serves meals to everyone assigned to the ship. We begin our task by loading 90 days worth of provisions before leaving port. While underway we pull alongside a replenishment ship and receive more food to replace what's been consumed. The Mess Specialists, or Navy cooks, coordinate the stowage of the food and fix three meals a day in four messes, or dining areas: the General Mess for the crew, Chief Petty Officer's mess, Wardroom for the Officers, and the Cabin Mess for the Captain and embarked Commanders. We also serve a late night meal called Midrats for men assuming the 2200 to 0200 watch. .. il H Ju fx 'v A '-QFUFU ? fin . Z - X V 1 ,- '.
