m 1?T Division Reactor Training Division saw great changes in both personnel makeup and the facilities utilized in training newly reporting personnel and prepar- ing the Engineering Department for the 1 990 oper- ational reactor safeguards examination. Virtually every area of the training took on a new and larger role causing RT Division to be affectionately known as the HOLY TRAINING EMPIRE . Programs were renovated and made more efficient. The reac- tor training office was moved and the MK 48 Tor- pedo Room transformed into a training area wor- thy of the name. The rigorous 1990 underway schedule saw nearly 700 drills run, which the whole crew got to experience through numerous blackouts and water hours. Record amounts of training, ob- served evolutions and personnel qualifications were achieved. RT Division prepared the Engineering Dept. for ORSE 1990, the Med Cruise and now looks forward to the overhaul period and beyond. il MMC J. ORTGIES EMC V. DELAZZARI ETI G.
