5-fy - i Lx Y f class of 55 the class of 6'55 looks forward with enthusiasm to their future years just as they looked forward to their four years of high school. everyone will go different ways and perhaps never be able to be together again. the class of 6'55l' is a class that has worked hard and earned a good reputation. as freshmen we were welcomed into sonoma high by the senior class at the freshman reception. the officers of the class were: president bob kyle, vice president bob sangiacomo, secretary norine carlson, student council gerald le lesch, welfare jo ann twyman and orville stovall, yell leaders joy weaver and florence bonaude. in the annual yell contest the class came in second. during this freshman year a care drive was sponsored. a total of over S5800 was received by the s.v.u.h.s. students. the freshmen came in second to the juniors by only eighty-seven cents. as the largest class in school, the sophomores won the student body card sale and put on the uteepee trot, the frosh reception. leading the class during the sophomore year were: president jerry hawkins, vice president carol hahn, secretary judy thomas, student council karen more and gerald le lesch, welfare jo ann twyman and bob kyle, yell leaders norine carlson, barb provenzano. again the class came in second in the yell contest. it was during our sophomore year that we received our class rings. at last, junior year arrived, and we were finally upperclassmen. acting as officers during this year were: president gerald le lesch, vice president gene dornbush, secretary susan biggs, student council -deborah ellis, edwin smith, welfare liz tubbs, suzanne fischbeck, and bob kyle, yell leaders florence bonaudi, jo ann twyman. the class accomplished much in this year. one of the best senior balls ever put on was by the juniors, return to paradisef, at the end of the year the first class picnic was held. everyone looked forward to the biggest and best year ever, the senior year. it marks the last year of high school and proved to be the best of all. starting out the year the seniors won the student body card sale and yearbook sale. on dec. 3. frosty frolicsf, a xmas semi-formal dance was presented. senior week, which is held at the end of the year is always looked forward to. graduation concludes the four years of sonoma high. everyone in the class of 55,' will long remember and cherish all the fond memories of this year at sonoma high. for there will never be anything the same as high school. the senior officers were: president violet de martini, vice president gerald le lesch, secretary pat clark, student council carol hahn, edwin smith, welfare debbie ellis, betty backholm, and bob larsen, yell leaders barbara provenzano, and norine carlson.
