Carlson, b. provenzano, yell leaders: s. biggs, music chairman: 6 program chairmang s. cassidy, publicity chairman. student government the student government is composed of the student body officers, the student council, the welfare committee, the traffic committee, and the pep club. student body officers are nominated and elected during the month of may. the elected president of the student body then appoints other needed officers, and they are approved by the student council. the student council is responsible for the administration of the affairs of the student body. the duties of the student council are to approve budgets of classes, clubs, and other activities, approve awards to athletic teams, and other student groups, arrange school dances, rallies, assemblies, and all other events of the school. student council is composed of all elected and appointed student body officers. the president and two representatives from each class are also included as well as representatives of major school organizations, the welfare is headed by the vice president of the student body, and maintains order in the school. its chief duty is to enforce all laws of the student government at school and at all student activities. representatives from each class are elected to serve as welfare members. the traffice committee is a fairly new group which organizes and enforces traffic regulation. a committee is selected to check cars and promote safety among student drivers. the pep club, under the leadership of the pep chairman, promotes spirit among the student body members, and is responsible for organizing rallies, stunts, and decorations for games. it is composed of student council members, and two repre- sentatives from each class.
