'trim OFFICERS-Left to right: Jim Marengo, vice president, Wilma Fabris, secretary, Dick Griffin, president. eadafz As Freshmen, in the fall of 1951, the class of 1954 was the largest in the history of S.V.U.H.S. On the sixth of October the annual Freshman Dress Up Day brought out our class dressed as comic and mythical characters. Among the annual activities of this class was the presentation of pep rallies to the Student Body. Junior Varsity was the skit put on when they were Frosh. An Out-of- Date Car Ride to a basketball game was a hilarious pantomime presented as Sophomores. When Juniors, they presented The Death of a Ukiah Football Player which helped our football team slaughter Ukiah. ln the last of our four years, a different idea was initiated. What's My Line, composed of a panel of Senior students, guessed fictional occupations of four faculty members. The class presented a dance for the Student Body each year with the exception of our first year when a party was given to us by the Seniors. When Sophomores, we originated Candyland in early spring with a large number of students at tending. ln our third year the dream of all Junior classes came to us-that of pre- senting the biggest and most spectacular highlight of the school year. The Love- Iiest Night of the Year was the name of the Senior Ball given for the Class of 1953. Leading the class during the seventh and final semesters of our high school years were Dick Griffin, president, Jim Marengo, vice president, Wilma Fabris, secretary, Jo Ann Baccaglio and Charlie DeMartini, student council, Ruth Rose Campbell, Bud Geisner, and Francis Frago, welfare, and Helen Lanning and Peggy Tucker acting as cheerleaders for the class as well as for the Student Body.
