TENNIS The Dragons have fwo seasons of fennis-fall and spring. Lasf fall fhe leading singles player was Vance Osburn and doubles players were Verne Osburn and Charlie Schiff. Two league mafches were played. The fellows made a beffer showing in fhe spring wifh Gene Royer leading in singles and fhe fwo Osburns in doubles. Three league mafches were played. Three of fhe infield from lasf year's squad were baclc on 'rhe diamond. They were Lesfer Lahr af firsf base, Bill Mori af second base, and Roberf Larson af fhe shorf pafch. George Lavin, a converfed cafcher from lasf year's ouffield, did a good iob behind fhe plafe before leaving for fhe Navy. The fearn had lasf year's pifcher in Gonzalo Mofo Escamilla and anofher good pifcher in George Bloclc, a freshman. ln fhe ouffield fhis year we had many players who proved fo be worfhy. Among fhem were Allan Gordenlcer, Bill Oliver, Warren Von Dohlen and Leland Fong. BASEBALL
