UA , .fdfddfic driocia fion The Girls' Athletic Association is the principal sports organization for girls at Soldan-Blewett. The club teaches good sportsmanship, co-ordi- nation, knowledge, and skill in the various sports. ln the organization, the girls have the opportunity to earn a letter. lt is done by the point system. The girls earn points by partici- pating in the various activities. Service points nament was held and good fun and competi- tion was had by all. A Modern Dance Class was started and many of the girls joined and showed their talents. The spring brought track and field, softball, and tennis. During the year the G.A.A. had the Officials' Club where girls learn to referee and umpire in the different sports. Point your toes are also necessary and these may be earned by helping the G.A.A. in extra activities. The girls may earn a small letter, large letter and a pin if they participate in the organization four years. ln the fall the girls began by playing volley- ball and field hockey. Field hockey is a new sport, but it seemed to be enjoyed by many girls. Basketball began in December. A tour- Eighty-six Limber Ladies The G.A.A. had several special events during the year: a Cake CS: Coke Sale, an Award Party, entertaining other schools and enter- tained by them. The G.A.A. would like to thank the two spon- sors, Miss Ulery and Miss Mueller who make these many activities possible.
