The main pur- pose of this club is to promote school spirit. This organization is sponsored by Mrs. Sadie McCoy, the officers and club members plan and carry out the activities. Different committees meet throughout the term to decorate for parties and to sell pom poms and pencils. Each term a party is given to welcome the freshmen. The object of this party is to help the freshmen girls become acquainted with the other girls of the school and to learn about the activities of the club. This term a special invitation was extended to the cheerleaders in order to combine the main promoters of school spirit. The members of the Pep Club are glad to serve the school in any Way possible and welcome all new members.

This service includes the operation ot the public address system, phono' graph, tape recorders, and projectors. All members are first trained to run the projectors and later master the other equipment. ln ci special advisory, the schedule tor the day is worked out under the supervision of Mr. Deall and also regular advisory work is carried on by Miss Rowan. The projectionists must main' tain a C average so that giving up study halls will not work a hardship on their studies. Our equipment and manpower is used in adf dition to teacher requests, at the Washington University lectures and were used at the recent science convention. juforing The Tutoring Club is an organization de signed to help students who need aid in cer- tain subjects. The tutors are honor roll stue dents who voluntarily give their time to help others. The tutors give aid in any subjects in which they are adept, such as languages, scie ences, mathematics, and social studies. The Tutoring Club also helps new students who have transferred from other high schools to make out programs and to orient themselves generally. Under the leadership of Mrs. K. Chambers, the Tutoring Club has been able to render a great deal of service to the school and the members of the Tutoring Club are anx- ious to help anyone who has a problem.
