The first president was Robert Dieckman, who has been followed by five excellent successors. The formation of the Student Council was the culmination of a long-time desire for a student representative body in which the wishes of the students could be expressed. One of the first accomplishments of the Student Council was the combination of the lunch rooms. For years, there had been a girls' and a boys' separate lunchroorn. Now, we are able to eat in either lunchroom. Another of the first works of the Student Council was our school appearance in Prom, the teen-agers magazine. This had been
