COACHES AND SUPERVISOR .lofdaf Once again our coaches had their work cut out for them. The lack of experienced players from last year's squad made it necessary to promote several lower termers to the Varsity. The group of hard-working fellows who went out for football included the following return! ing lettermen: Capt. loe Wooden, Charles Sige norelli, Tom Bianchi, Cornell Bowen, Edward Duke, Max Hart, and Bob Grose, The Tigers played their first game at University City, Early injuries hampered their attack and lod to a 40-U defeat at the hands of the power- house lndians, Soldan-Blewett then went to East St. Louis. Although we lost by a score of 38-O, several Bengals played outstanding football and show- ed real promise. FIRST ROW: Stukey, Signorelli, Duke, Wooden, Iohnsey, Follis, Siegel, Buckley.
