THIRD ROW Mr Sorrells , Pretsky, Barnes, Childress, Lackey, Graft, Gahen, Mullen, Pashos, Hastings, FOURTH ROW Shepard Rosenblum Rothman, Yancey, Fitter, Goldberg, Rothman, Signorelli, Kreisman, Poulos, Meredith. Membership in Soldan-Blewett Concert Band is attained by examination. The Board of Educa- tion furnishes the large instruments, uniforms, and music. Students furnish the smaller instru- ments. The Concert Band meets daily in the IA period. Every member of the band is also a member of the Band Advisory. The student assistant director, Ierry Rosenblum, has been very active and helpful in building a good organization. When there is need for an orchestra, the strings from the intermediate group combine with part of the band, The instrumental director, R. D. Sorrells, is working every afternoon in the ele- mentary grades of four schools. This promises to rebuild the orchestra and band groups which have been falling off in the past two or three years.
