The cheerleaders again had a very success- ful season in 1949-1950. There was, however. a change in the status of the squad: it became a team and was judged just as the other teams are with letter awards. Mr. Sorrells and Mr. Plug became the sponsors and. for the first time in many years, the band and the cheer- leaders worked together on the field as well as at the aud sessions. We would like to thank the students for their fine co-operation. The cheerleaders are looking forward to another successiul year. Roger Miyasaka - --- Program Chairman- - - - - -Harley Hartzog Although the Magic Club has been in existence tor only a year. it has become a fairly large organization in Soldan-Blewett. This is par- ticularly due to the able sponsorship of Mr. Forsman, who has patiently guided us and helped us in our meetings and in our planned activities. We meet' every other Thursday. At the meet- ings. we discuss, explain, and demonstrate all phases of prestidigitation which might not be clear to the members. We only accept members who are interested in Magic and who have some oi their own equipment. We present a Magic Show once a term in which every member of the club participates. In addition, we present Magic Shows to the Freshmen and to various other organizations that may request our talent.
