Some oi the purposes of the club are to develop leadership among the members who will assume important responsibilities in retailing, provide activities which will aid the members to develop self-confidence in the performance ot their jobs. strive for the develop- ment oi proper co-operation between members and their fellow employees and help the mem- bers develop an understanding of the many retailing problems. Ha Ivria. the Hebrew Cultural Club. observed its twentieth anniversary this year. Under the leadership of Mr. Biegelsen, the club has con- tinued to carry out its aim, to better acquaint the members with the lile of the Mediterranean peoples. At each meeting one of the members presents an informative talk concerning the people of Asia Minor, Egypt. Syria, or Palestine in the form of a book report, open discussion. or report of the origin of certain holidays. Olten, the members sing Hebrew songs which are enjoyed by all. .Na sguria Social activities are also headlined in Ha lvria. A dance was held in the Girl's Gymnasium. to which all members and their friends were invited. The meetings are held every other Friday and all students are invited to attend. Brooks, unior la 6055 The Iunior Red Cross is an organization which works to make the lives ot men in the Veterans Hospitals happier. The members bring a little cheer to these patients through the gay gifts they make. They feel rewarded when they know that they have brought a little sunshine into the lives of these men. .WL CM The French Club, under the leadership ot Mrs. Rothman. unites all students who are interested in learning about the language and customs of France. At the meetings French games were played, French songs were sung. and movies were shown. This year the members also visited the Art Museum for an interesting lecture on Renaissance Art.
