Oct. 13, 1949 What a beautiful day it was for the first senior affair. a gala wiener roast at Forest Park. It was highlighted by a mixed game oi football and other games. This was our first real chance to get acquainted with each other. ROLLER SKATING PARTY ..,..,,..,,,,,,,,,,,,, ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,.,,,..,,...,. N ov. 2, 1949 This party was given by the senior class for all the students of Soldan-Blewett. Everyone who attended had an enjoyable time though most of us needed three skates instead of just two. SENIOR BOW DAY AND DANCE ........................................... Nov. 22. 1949 The students and faculty got their first look at the Ianuary 1950 Seniors, as they ap- peared in their gay bows of all colors. sizes. and shapes. To conclude this joyous day, We had a senior dance. SENIOR PROM ............................ ........................ ....... D e c. 3, 1949 This was given by our class for all the seniors at the Hotel DeSoto. The highlight of the evening was the crowning of the Senior queen. The girls looked lovely in their formals and the boys like real men in their dark suits. SQUARE DANCE ............. ..............,..........................,... D ec. 20, 1949 The mothers were kind enough to give us this delightful affair. The refreshments were wonderful. The square dance was called by a professional caller. That day, we all mastered the art of square dancing. CLASS DAY ................................................ ............... I an. 20, 1950 This was a long awaited event for this was Our Day. Finals were over and we had only to wait for commencement. The class presented to the faculty and student body our colors. banner, and song. We were officially presented to the school. For entertainment there was a gala class day show and then we had our senior class day party. COMMENCEMENT .........................,...........................,... Ian. 26. 1950 This was the final event on our calendar. Yes. this was the day we had so anxiously looked forward to for four years. As we look back we could remember all the fun we'd had and all the friends we'd made and most of all, the teachers and what they had taught us. And so, as we leave Soldan-Blewett behind us. we shall all try to keep in mind, as well as practice. our motto. Understanding, lustice, and Brotherhood. Thirty-two
