The students have participated in various field trips to radio stations as well as broad- casts from KFUO and WEW. The programs from these stations have varied from inter- SL!! HE Soldan-Blewett Chapter of the Junior Red Cross is an organization which bright- ens the lives of those who are lying ill in Veterans' Hospitals as a result of the World Wars. The enthusiastic members of the Chapter endeavor to bring a bit of cheer and com- fort to hospital life by making brightly- laring unior pet! 6056 colored holiday candy cups and gay mats for veterans' dinner trays, by filling Christmas stockings with handy gifts and by knitting colorful house slippers. Their efforts are Well rewarded by expressions of apprecia- tion received from grateful veterans who appreciate the worthwhile job the Junior Red Cross members are doing so Well. The girls formed teams which consist of four members. From each of these teams a cap- tain was chosen by the members. The cap- tain is responsible for the scores and aver- ages of her team. A name is chosen for each team as the adult leagues do. These names are originalg they run from The Bowling Bums to Hot Cindersf' girls' The purpose of the club is to promote good sportsmanship, but While succeeding in this purpose, the members gain many new friends by having a good time. During the Fall Term the club was under the sponsorship of Miss Hazeltine and Miss Dolan.
