EMBERSHIP in the Pep Club of Soldan- Blewett is open to every girl who is inter- ested in the athletic activities of the school. This club has been organized under the able sponsorship of Miss Amend and Miss For- sythe to foster school spirit, to promote enthuiasm for interscholastic sports, and to rally the student body about their team. A party was given by the Pep Club for the freshman girls to Welcome them to Sol- dan-Blewett and to make the girls feel at home among us. lt is deeply gratifying to all the girls of the Pep Club when they are able to help the school in any way. It plays for regular school dances given in the band room after school on Friday after- noons. It rehearses as a club after school once a Week. The Dance Orchestra, with the addition of violins and cellos from the Concert Or- chestra, was selected to play the pageant performed before the National Teachers Meeting this spring. It has an unusual rec- for a high school dance orchestra. The dance orchestra is entirely under the direction and supervision of the instrumental instructor, Mr. R. D. Sorrells, who is an ex- perienced director, having been connected With radio, show, and dance Work for many years. He is currently arranger for and a member of our St. Louis Municipal Opera Orchestra.
