HIS group is open to all freshman girls and boys who enjoy singing. Besides sing- ing, Junior Chorus studies the fundamentals of music under their sponsor, Miss Thym. The members of this organization have an opportunity to display their music talents. While many of the members of this group do not have the voice qualifications for the advanced groups, they are able to enjoy the experience of singing with a large group under a capable director. They practice in blending their voices in with those of the other members of the group. For many it is the first experience in singing with a large organization. Being a member of the Junior Chorus also helps a newcomer at Soldan- Blewett to become acquainted with the other freshmen and gives them a common interest. Through this association, a freshman comes to feel more as a member of the student body and part of student life as a whole.
