Yeah Soldan ---- Yeah Blewett Yeah, yeah Soldan-Blewett I shout our energetic cheerleaders. Always present at pep sessions and at the games and contests in which our teams participate, these students have contributed a large share in producing the loyal, friendly spirit and the fine sportsmanship which Soldan-Blew- ettites have exhibited. As they compose new cheers, teach them to the student body and promote enthusiasm and interest in athletic events, our cheer- leaders find themselves faced with a job which occupies much of their spare time. Yet, these students willingly devote their hours to this activity and have done an ex- ceedingly fme job of fostering friendliness, cooperation, and enthusiasm among the stu- dents. During the year of 1948-49, the Soldan- Blewett cheerleaders were Jean Dewhirst, Joycelyn Schrum, Harriet Birenbaum, Bob Mocciola, Douglas Tulper, Sandy Lowen- stein, Marvin Luger, Lorraine Garfield, and Sheila Kalish.
