Spring brought a variety of activities . . . Our year- books arrived, and with them came leafing through the Oh, I rememberi' pages. At the Spring Band Concert, Bill McGowan was presented with the Arion Award for outstanding musi- cal achievement. In May, at the State F.F.A. Convention in Perry, New York, Gerald Beckens was the recipient of the Empire Farmer Award which was based on his su- pervised program, his lead- ership, and his scholastic standing. Both of thes e awards represent the highest attainment that a high school student may make in these respective fields.
