Hungerford, PSYCHOLOGY, Anthony Mastroleo, MUSIC. wi l I Q7aCuHy I In September of this year, Sodus Central welcomed several new teachers into the fold, Mrs. Richards, freshman and sophomore English, Miss Vieweg, high school mathef matics, Mr. Meneely, American and World History, and Mr. Dunn, driver education. Aside from regular classes, the teachers busted themselves as members of committees working towards more efficient teaching methods. Among these committees were the Marks Committee I, consisting of Miss Doyle, chairman, Mr. Cooper, Mrs. Cornish, Mr Shaver, Mrs. Norton, Mr, Bellinger, and Mrs, Bellinger, the Ethics Committee, with Mr Cooper as chairman, Mr. McGowan, Mr. Meneely, and Mr Scurrah, and the Advisory 4 sf? low I-1fslY I 1

As a class, we appreciate their permitting us to use the town's electricity for money-making activities, dances and last minute yearbook preparations usually keep lights burning into the morning hours. Since Sodus Central has grown the Board of Education now has to increase its balance for expansion without sud- denly burdening the taxpayers. Syracuse Univer sity offered a workshop to teachers, The purpose of this course was to discuss general problems in the elementary and secondary schools. Mr. Meneely offered a new course, PROBLEMS IN AMERICAN DEMOCRACY, to the history students, and Mr. DeVall introduced a new course in auto mechanics. x f wi S 'X
