As graduation is arriving and our high school days are about'to end, everyone is wondering what the Seniors of Snyder High School, class of 1961, are going to be doing ten years from now. I have finally decided to consult the old crystal ball passed down to us from previous classes. The crystal ball has become very dusty since it was used last year. After dusting it off, a picture comes into view. I see a large hospital. Coming down the corridor, I see a slender blonde woman dressed in white. I recognize her walk and as she stops to talk to a handsome doctor, I find that he is her husband. This RN Is the former Dianne Young. After high school, Dianne took nurses training in Greeley. After receiving her degree, she traveled to Los Angeles, California, to work in a hospital there. Passing through the halls, Dianne meets her one and only, the doctor. They were married and now their lives are cen- tered around their work. The California smog is now blotting out the picture. But, as the picture fades another takes its place. Coming through the fog, I see a huge monster creeping toward me. But wait, it’s not a monster, it’s Ralph Hardy's new and latest invention that will revolutionize the bulldozing industry. Ralph calls his bulldozer the Hardydozer. Seated on this bulldozer is Ralph, his faithful wife, and their blond-haired twins out for a Sunday afternoon drive. As this happy foursome continues on their way the picture changes. I see the Eiffel Tower. This picture reveals to me that I am in Paris, France. Quickly I am taken to the fashion center of this romantic city. Above, on the marquee in bright lights is Mademoiselle Chere Fashion Show, or as we know her, Sharon Peterson. Following her graduation, Sharon attended college in Fort Collins to study fashion designing. After much labor, Sharon finally fulfilled her longing of being the world's greatest fashion designer. The picture becomes hazy and another scene comes into focus. I see a large man working laboriously over his plans for a new community on Saturn. As this man slowly turns around, I immediately recognize him as James Thompson. James has done well for himself since I last saw him. He attended college and studied electronics. After graduation, he did much to advance his field of science.

The laboratory fades and a houseful of children comes Into view. This Is the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ed Gerdes and family. We know Mrs. Gerdes as Carolyn Clauson, another classmate. After graduation, Carolyn worked In a hospital until she and Ed decided to tie the knot. They have been very happy since their wedding. Dickie, Cindy, and Jimmie now complete the Gerdes household. This happy, domestic scene grows dim and a tall, slim figure appears in the mist. The picture is growing clear now and I can see that this person is Mr. Adelbert Kumke, President of Cavinu, Inc., a large and growing business in New York City. Following his graduation here at Snyder High School, Adelbert attended electronics school in Denver. Last year he designed a new machine which replaced Univac. He calls it Cavinu, which is Univac spelled backward. The picture is fading, fading, fading . . . No, here is another picture coming into view. I see a stenographer taking dictation from her boss, the president of a large New York manufacturing company. This smart-looking secretary is none other than Sharon Anderson. After graduation from high school in May, 1961, Sharon entered Central Business College in Denver. She made the honor roll every month and grad- uated with flying colors. She is now working until her fiance returns from his business abroad. When he arrives, she will quit her job and they will travel to Colorado where they will be married in the Willard Methodist Church. Clouds of dust blot out this picture and now I see a farm. Out in the field, riding a big tractor, is our old classmate, Charles Bass. After attending Northeastern Junior College in Sterling, Charles decided to try his luck at farming. The scene moves to the house and here I see a sweet-looking woman. Around her are two children, one boy and one girl. Now Charles enters the house and smiles admiringly at his family. The picture is fading. It is gone. No more to be seen.
