WE THE SENIOR CLASS OF '54 WILL AND BEQUEATH OUR ENERGETIC AND UNTIRING EFFORT TO THE FUTURE SENIORS OF SNYDER HIGH. . Senior Class Propheey Let us transport ourselves into the year of 1964, visualizing what would be happening to the Senior Class of '54. First of all, let us visit the home of the former Juanita Baughman. She enrolled in a school of nursing in Denver. However, after a few months of schooling she decided that this wasn't the life for her after all. So she mar- ried Mr. Fred Guardenhire of Brush. They are now living in Brush and are the proud parents of three little Guardenhires. Next in our visit is Miss Joan Ann Beck. After having several matrimonial prospects she decided that marriage wasn't the life for her. She entered nurses' training and is now superintendent of the Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland. Now for our visit to the home of Dick Skarda. When we reached his place in Breckenridge, Colorado, we found only Joan Blair and the twins there. Dick had left for his mine where he is working with his priceless collection of rocks. After leaving the home of Mr. and Mrs. Skarda we see our former Miss Cook who is living in Chicago with her husband, who is a well-known brain surgeon. Florence entered St. Lukes Nurses' Training and after graduation she was sent to Chicago, where she met her husband. She is not working now; she is at home taking care of their little 6-week-old surgeon-to-be. Compliments of BRUSH PLUMBING and HEATING, Brush, Colorado

Now to the apartment of Mr. Edward Eugene Walter, the great literary scholar. After he received his high school diploma he went on to Harvard University. He had several matrimonial prospects; however, none of them seemed to work out. So he is now living in Connecticut and seems to be doing right well. Let's go back Snyder way again, to the town of Iiiff. Here we find Mrs. Jerry Roth, the former Emilie Pierce. Emilie and Jerry got married right after school was out in 1954. There has been an addition of five to their family. One red-headed boy and a blonde girl are in school but we got to see the other three girls. We found that they were a wealthy family living on a modern ranch. We then leave the home of the Roths and drop in at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Don Young. In 1955 Lorna and Don decided that they were meant for each other so they were married. Don and Lorna are now living on a large wheat and cattle ranch which he bought. There has been an addition to their family also. Don and Lorna are the proud parents of three blonde girls and a dark-haired boy. It is time for us to move on to our next senior of '54, Richard Williams. He didn't fare so well in the matrimonial state, so he decided to become a bachelor. He now owns a large cattle ranch outside of Snyder. Now let us move on to the home of Mr. and Mrs. Allyn Wind. She is our former Jeanie Forrest. Jeanie didn't get to fulfill her great dream of becoming a great brain surgeon. She fell so deeply in love with Allyn she did not have the least desire to go on. Jeanie's wedding was one of the biggest social events of the season. People are still talking about the big wedding of Jean and Allyn. Now last, but by no means least, we reach the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ger- ald Funk. Jerry went to college for two years, but then he and Eunice finally made up their minds to settle down. So they and their three children are now living at Antelope Springs where Jerry is helping his father. This completes our journey for this year. We were all very happy to see each other again and we will be looking forward to another reunion in future years. Compliments of CLAUDE STARR FRONTIER STATION, Brush, Colorado
