Accomplishments? Well, there was the privilege of singing for Dr. Charles Hirt at Madrigal Festival in Flagstaff, and the superior ratings at solo and ensemble at Flagstaff, and the large group at Thatcher. No, I'd guess I'd have to say the greatest accomplishment of the Madrigal was the unique opportunity for 21 students and 1 special teacher to learn and grow together. We strived to overlook the faults and mistakes, yet behind each of them we found some- thing extra that made them worthwhile. We had our share of bad times, but through the good times we discovered that music has a beautiful power . . . the power to bring people closer to each other. We found that by lending ourselves to the music, the music could in turn serve us. Through music we could made ourselves just a little bit better than we really are. Terri Whyman 2 'Q 1 2 54
