According to popular opinion, it re- mained in oblivion and was in active for the rest of the year. However, it WAS organized. The advisor was Mr. Prestwich, Jonathan Massey was Presi- dent, Phillip Langston was Vice-President, and Janet Cole was secretary- treasurer. Other members included Jennie Taylor, Janice Bruce, Bill Nelson, Amy Moeller, Randy Reed, and Charles Maxwell. The club attempted to participate in many school activities, but succeeded in few. Only one activity request was passed, but the members forgot about it until it was too late to do anything. The Club alS0 made a tape for the time capsule. Later, everyone travelled to Hermosillo, Mexico to practice speaking Spanish and to experience contact with all aspects of Latin Ameri- can culture. Funds were supplied by the Spanish Club. German Club Formed for the purpose of envolving students in extra-curricular activities that help in the study of German. The German Club has been highly successful. As part of the membership fee to join the local club, the mem ber also becomes a member of the Arizona Association of Students of German and the National Federation of Students of German. German Club members can be recognized, not b their sauerkraut breath nor beer bleary eyes, but by their fine features and studious attitudes. They are also recognizable for their great prowess on the soccer field.
