They outscored their opponents 264 points to 28 points. The Snowflake defense put in stellar plays all season, al- lowing the opposition little opportunity to score during the season. The season was highlighted by the out- standing play of our team at Flagstaff. They repeat- edly held back Flagstaff drives to insure victory. Flowing Wells, the NO. 1 ranked AA school in the state, versus the No. 2 ranked Snowflake Lobos for the AA state title. The playoff-was held at McClintock High School in Tempe. In the opening period the Caballeros blocked a Lobo punt and carried it in for the score. The Lobos came back with a 40 yard touchdown pass. Flowing Wells scored just before half-time giving them a 14-7 half advantage, Early in the third period, the Lobos fought back with a 4 yd. touchdown plunge, but the 2 point conversion failed. The Lobos again received the ball and twice more marched down the field to within the five yd. line, but both drives failed. Lesti ko, Coach The overall record of the 76 Track Team included 87 wins, 36 losses, and one tie during the regular track season. The boys won two invitationals and were close in many others. They maintained a record of never havinglost a home duel meet. This track team has worked harder than any other track team in the state and their second place finish in Divisionals brings this point home. This has been a great season for the boys and they should be very proud of their performances.
