Mama Cook, who teaches both college preparaf tory English and English lV, has an A.B. from Park College and an M.A. from the Univer- sity of Missouri. Through her unceasing efforts and expert guidance the Archives is pub- lished each year. We, the 1960 Archives staff, want to thank her for her hours of work, her willingness to help, and her sin- cere understanding. Facult ' . At' -. W ry' X 1 ? ' r X Z S RUSS ID A CRUZAN, who teaches algebra, holds a B.S. and an M.S. in Education from the University of Missouri. To Miss Cruzan the welfare of jun- ior high school is a very im- portant matter and she devotes much of her time to this cause. MR. BOB CUMMINGS is an able assistant in the music de- partment, very capably directs the junior high school band. and plays a real cool trumpet. Mr. Cummings has a B.S. from Central Nlissouri State College and an M.M. from Northwest- ern University. l '7' -ff? MR. DONALD DONATH in- spires fun among his students and is a very popular faculty member. Mr. Donath, who has a B.S. from Central Missouri State College, teaches drivers' training and is assistant track coach. Facult This is MRS. Nli'I'TlF BAUM'S second year at Smith-Cotton as the supervisor of study hall. Mrs. Baum has quite a task keeping talkatixe students to a minimum of noisemaking. Mrs. Baum has a B.S. from Central Missouri State College, 1. 'IS' MR. XX'lLFRlfD BELL is the sponsor of the ushers and teaches higher mathematics and French. Doc Bell holds a B.A. and an M.A. from the Univer- sity' of Missouri. His French phrases puzzle almost everyone including French students, MR. JAMES BRADEN, who teaches industrial arts and civ- ics. is a newcomer at Smith-Cob ton this year. Mr. Braden, with a B.S. from Southwest Missouri State College, is also one of the school's treasurers. Z MRS, TH ELMA BUCKLEY, who is a new teacher at Smith- Cotton, has a B.S. from Central Missouri State College. She in- structs juniors and seniors in reading and also teaches classes in special education. Proficiency in English is a Requirement For Success. BOB ED- MONDSON. teacher of eighth grade arithmetic and general mathematics. Curley Bob is also the assistant football and basketball coach. He holds a B. S. in Education from Central Missouri State College and an A. M. from Colorado State 'I'cacher's College. .lf A very friendly personality at Smith-Cotton is MRS. ALINE EHLERS. With a B.S. in Educa- tion from Central Missouri Col- lege, Mrs. Ehlers teaches eighth grade English and relieves Miss Gray in the junior high library during third hour. Mrs. Ehlers readily wins favor among all of her junior high students. General ath and Plane MRS. MARY FAULKNER yery competently directs the fresh- man and sophomore girls' glee clubs at Smith-Cotton.
