Facult This is MRS. Nli'I'TlF BAUM'S second year at Smith-Cotton as the supervisor of study hall. Mrs. Baum has quite a task keeping talkatixe students to a minimum of noisemaking. Mrs. Baum has a B.S. from Central Missouri State College, 1. 'IS' MR. XX'lLFRlfD BELL is the sponsor of the ushers and teaches higher mathematics and French. Doc Bell holds a B.A. and an M.A. from the Univer- sity' of Missouri. His French phrases puzzle almost everyone including French students, MR. JAMES BRADEN, who teaches industrial arts and civ- ics. is a newcomer at Smith-Cob ton this year. Mr. Braden, with a B.S. from Southwest Missouri State College, is also one of the school's treasurers. Z MRS, TH ELMA BUCKLEY, who is a new teacher at Smith- Cotton, has a B.S. from Central Missouri State College. She in- structs juniors and seniors in reading and also teaches classes in special education. Proficiency in English is a Requirement For Success. MRS. THELMA COOK is the very busy sponsor of the Ar- chives staff and also of the sen- ior class. Mama Cook, who teaches both college preparaf tory English and English lV, has an A.B. from Park College and an M.A. from the Univer- sity of Missouri. Through her unceasing efforts and expert guidance the Archives is pub- lished each year.
