14-1. Princess Pat Schreiner, Queen Clio Tsateri, Princess Myrna Miller Archives Beauties Reign Uver Christmas Ball The Archives Christmas Ball is the first for- mal dance of the year. From the first day of the yearbook sale to the time of the Grand March, the students anticipate this event with joy. Each year the students who buy annuals are privileged to elect a queen among the three can- didates chosen by the Archives staff. This year, on December 5, the Grand March was led by the attractive Archives Queen, Clio Tsateri, her es- cort, Gary Christian, and her attendants, Myrna Miller, escorted by Dale Maggard, and Pat Schreiner, escorted by Karl Kasak. Following the queens, the Archives staff led the three hun- dred dancers as they filed around the cafeteria first in couples, then four abreast, and, finally, with eight in each rank. The long march ended with the crowning of Queen Clio by co-editors, Ted Walch and Leroy Street, before a black backdrop sprinkled with silver stars and flanked by two white Christmas trees. Many of the couples sacrificed a few min- utes of dancing to the excellent music of Bob Cummings' orchestra to have taken, in front of the old-fashioned sleigh filled with gaily wrap- ped packages and a small white tree, a picture they can treasure for many years as a momento of a beautiful dance and a truly wonderful eve- ning.
