Congratulations Congratulations to Coach Dow and his Tiger squad who gave Smith-Cotton its best football team in many a year. Coach Dow and squad went to the power formation, single wing. Con sidered by many as one of the best teams in the state, the Tigers ran roughshod over every opponent except North Kansas City. Excuses don't win ball games, but it was evident that injuries plagued the Tigers in that contest. For the fifth time in the last ten years, Coach Dow's Tigers copped the Central Missouri Conference title. Although many Tigers stood out, the great season would not have been unless the coaches. Dow, Glavin, and Edmondson. and the squad as a whole had worked patiently and played to the best of their ability. AGAIN CONGRATULATIONS, COACHES AND BOYS! Oh, gee, Coach, look what I almost had. Bill Wingfield almost intercepts a pass against Springfield. Marshall Bryan makes a nice tackle on an M.M.A. boy before he can make much yardage. O.K., you guys! Come on over and help me .pick this poor fellow up.
