DANIELS MCCOLEY leilermen VINCENT SCHUSTER AYRES FLINT Bl BLICKENSTAFF SMITH MURPHY 2 Captain for the 52 football season will be Wendell Peterson replacing Larry Cates The Redmen chose a new system of electlng a capta1n for next year There w1ll be one permanent game captain and they will choose a dlfferent co captaln for each weeks game NORTON there Norton crossed the Redmens goal lme for the first time 1n three years as the Redmen went down to defeat 20 0 This was the first game of the season and It showed that the Redmen team was unexperienced Norton had a fast movmg team w1th a very good passer whlch helped them gam many yards agamst S C BELLEVILLE here Showlng conslderable 1mprovement over the previous game played the week before, the Redmen won thexr first game of the sea son from Bellevllle 21 7 Wurster made the first touchdown of the season runnmg 34 yards to pay d1rt He made one more touch down m the nights play Cates crossed the goal lme for the second score of the season running 50 yards through the mlddle of the Belleville team
