PRESIDENT CARTER Dr. Robert S. Carter has been President of Slippery Rock State College since 1964. Under his guidance the school has grown from approximately 2400 to the present en- rollment of 4000. Always looking to the future, the presi- dent recently announced a building program which will include a library, dining hall, student union, stadium, and classroom buildings for the benefit and the enjoyment of the students. Dr. Carter does not limit his activities to his official duties, but is interested in civic projects and other community affairs. His hobbies are golf and attending the func- tions of the college. Dr. Carter received his Bachelor and Mas- ter's Degrees of science from Bucknell Uni- versity, and his Doctor of Philosophy De- gree from New York University. l President Carter addresses the student body at the annual College Con- President Carter works diligently to raise the quality of the college In his free time, President Carter enjoys listening to Mrs Carter play the piano, A frequent scene of Slippery Rock campus
