Thanks to Dr. Sharkan and the newly created Student Advisory Council, something was done this year! Thanks to the SAC, there have been many changes in the school menu. Stu- dents were also inf volved in the plan- ning for our new high school. Under the direction of Mr. Horvath, the Future Business Leaders of America found out about the nreal world' from various guest speakers at their reg- ular Friday meetings. They also found time to plan and take a June field trip to New York City.

This year Winterguard displayed their talents by march- ing to nMacArthur Parkn, HRobotsH, and their theme, nYou Make Me Believe in Magicn. Blue Magic took lst place this year for the first time ever in the brief three-year history of Winterguard at S.H.S. In addition to their lst place, Blue Magic placed 2nd at many other competitions. In April, Blue Magic traveled to Wildwood to compete in the Atlantic Coast Winterguard Championships. The guard also marched at the Whitehall Mall and performed at Channel 39.
