Der Sieg, translated to the victory, was the experience felt by sophomore Greg Schuck and junior Michelle Lorah Keeping the winning tradition here at SHS Greg captured fifth prize with his recital of Der Erl konig Michelle gave an exciting ex hibition of Der Handschuh Three juniors spoke their impressive ideas to the title of My responsibility to America in the Voice of Democracy contest. Capturing the first three places were Heather MacCrindle, Chris Cunfer, and Lori Clause. These three girls were chosen by a selected panel of SHS faculty members as the finest speakers in the school. While some readers were Rippin' through the Records and Flip- pin' through the Flicks, other students were deciding their LAT seasonal apparel, aided by Fashion Forecast, reading tidbits of information from Deb's column, Doubletalk, compare predictions with Tom Evans from The Locker Room, or learning of the new element of sports from the Powder Room. Keeping up the pace and tradition, Heather MacCrindle undertook the edi- torship in the middle of her junior year.
