Williams the S.H.S. chorus presented two concerts both open to the public. The Annual Christmas Con- cert was held on December 17. Such familiar songs as Do You Hear What I Hear, Silent Night, and What Child is This could be heard echoing through the auditorium. A more modern approach was taken in selecting the music for the Spring Concert. Selec- tions inlcuded Godspell, Superstar, and a medley of Beatles tunes. Under the direction of Larry I This year's jazz band deserves a round of applause for a job well done. Performing in the annual Talent-Fashion Show, the jazz band delighted those who attended and was sum- moned back for an encore performance both nights. The jazz band also performed in the Spring Band Concert. The band is directed by Mr. George Fennell. Congratulations on a year of superb music. The band did an excellent job, as it performed such songs as Weekend in New England, This One's For You, and many other enjoyable favorites. Cn Nov 17 and 19th, crowds watched the sen iors an the play, YOU CAN T TAKE IT WITH YOU Practicing until eleven pm reciting lines during sleep, and performing Larry s ern barrassing warm up exercises before show time helped ninteen budding actors and ac tresses turn into the members, friends, and ac quaintances of the Sycamore family. After two nights waiting for frrecrackers that never went off and sparklers that had minor malfunc- tions , the cast had a most rnernorable ' cast party Director Larry Williams led the per- formers through endless practice sessions, followed closely by Sally Pfeiffer. Rick Eckert created all the terrific scenery, Chris Marino was the fireworks expert, and Ellen Yenser was the prompter.
