a ? i v Phyllis Benner Slatington Phyllis is one of the quiet girls in high school. She always does her honework and is very seldom seen in the corridors. Phyllis enjoys playing the piano, singing, playing basketball, and roller skating. She hopes to hecome an efficient secretary. Ed Lujaok Bird was one of the members of the high school football squad. He also is a member of the future farmers and hopes that someday lie will become a successful farmer. Bd enjoys skating and swimming. Betty Blose Slatington Betty is one of the quieter girls in school, except for one class, P.D. In this class, she discusses shorthand with Josephine Harvillo. Betty's hobbies, are playing the piano and going t,o the movies. Her ambition is to become a successful typist. Good luck, Betty. Someday Dorothy is going to be an excellent housewife for some special man, since she's vice-president of the F.H.A. Dots loves to go dancing and skating. ’.Ve know that she will also be one of the est beautician.r,. Lee Blose Slatington That handsome guy seen roaming through the halls, breaking tho hearts of the girls is Lee. He also boasts the honor of being vice-president of his hone room. Pinicing, hiking, fishing, and talking are the pastimes Lee enjoys. His desire is become a farmer. Gloria, who had worked faithfully as a member of the Slate for three years, deserved to be chosen editor. She has many hobbies--reading, playing piano, eating, and spending money. Gloria hopes to become an air-hostess. We know that she will be successful. A blazing tie blinds you, but finally when your eyes get focused again you can see smiling Brnie walking slowly 'rom class to class. Walking, singing, and woodwork are Ernie's favorites and hi6 ambition is to be a disc-jockey or a lumberjack. Ernest Cunfer Slatington Janet, our active captain of the cheerleaders, enjoys dancing, reading, bowling, and roing to the movies. This attractive maiden is also the best dancer of our class. Janet hopes to become a good secretary, a goal which will be easily accomplished by this commercial student. Ruth Dietrioh Kempton Ruth is not heard of very much, but we know that she is working hard to reach her goal to become a successful stenographer. Besides doing commercial work, she enjoys roller-3kating, hiking, dancing, and listening to records. Lorraine is undecided about her future. She would like to become a music instructor or a sales clerk. In whichever profession she chooses to enter, she is sure to find seme leisure time in which to sing, knit, or weave. Chuck is one of Mr. Oreismer's boys and intends some day to be a mechanic or a salesman. Chuck’s hobby is women so maybe someday we'll find him in Arabia with a harem. Voted the shyest boy in the class Ernie certainly does not seen to live up t. his class vote as he continually finds ways to pest a certain blonde in E.D. class. Ernie s ambition is to be an airplane pilot. Nevin Dorward Emerald Homer Evans Slatington Homer seems like a fellow who does nothing but eat and sleep, but really hero we have one of the ringleaders of P.D. class in which he always finds a way to torture poor Mr. Koegel. Homer's ambition is to become a success in life. Louise is one of the top notch vocalists in Slatington High. She enjoys roller skating, dancing, singing, and listening to the radio. She hopes to become a successful beautician. Good luck, Louise. Sammy as all his friends call him is one of J the few country boys to participate in high school sports. Sam 8 hobbies are hunting, driving cars, and listening to the radio. Sam's ambition is to be a Radio Technician. Ethel, another one of our future homemakers, will be sure to become a successful dressmaker or designer with the experience she received in good old S.H.S. Her hobbies include roller-skating, Robert Everett hiking, and listening to the radio.
