Past Attractions The Chlldren s Hour Mrs Shepard gu1ded our f1rst steps along the path of school Already some of us were show1ng outstand1ng musrcal ab1l1ty rn our own band of a pxano tamborlnes and cymbals Ltfe was easy 1n those days w1th our da1ly rest hour and our own post 0ff1C6 for fun The Innocents We now began to get acqua1nted wxth the kxds we would go through school w1th M1ss McLaughl1n also tntroduced us to D1ck Jane and BabySally and how we loved readmg about them! Those never endmg demons add1t1on and subtractlon also started tr1pp1ng us up Outward Bound And so on to the next year How won derful ll was to cross the hall 1ntoM1ss Sahsbury s rooml The brrght hghts of the year were those days whxch were one of our frtends blrthdays for we never mxssed cele bratlng one wxth a party Let s Face It' We were now gettmg acquatnted Wllh a hrgher level of work mult1ply1ng And how hard we DID stxll havxng our fun play1ng marbles and Jumproplng on the playground Shuffle Along Work work workl Would xt never end? lmagme exposlng us to fractxons and longd1v1s1on so early 1n llfe But M1ss Snook was reallya wonderful teacher and we all for most of us7 breezed through them Gently Does It Our class was now begmrung to d1v1de 1nto groups MISS Hahn d1rected us rn our study of all the states and rn makrng the exhlbxt of the states to be placed rn the hall We were all so proudl Pomt of No Return And so on up the statrs to Mtss Burkes room We w11l never forget those wonderful stor1es she would read us and we tried to thank her by gxvmg her a surprrse blrthday party We were all very sorry to lose ,Tamce W1lcox whose s1x years w1th us none of us wxll ever forget Comedy of Errors Wxth SamTowr1send as Presldent we entered the bew11dermg problem of changmg classes every 45 mxnutes Most of us entered the Dancmg Club and our socxal hves began And we w1ll never forget all the hard work we put 1nto makmg folders on Skaneateles h1story The Tragedy Laughter and tears were mlngles that year when the fxre burned the school to the ground But gtuded by Gtnny LLlblllSkl we made the best of thmgs spend mg our noon hours 1n the park or wanderlng through town We even made an adventure out of gomg to school ln sep arate burldmgs downtown Wonderful Town It was qu1te an expenence havmg a campus for a year The lack of a school seemed to only tncrease our enthustasm for we beat all records w1th our magazlne sales thanks to Mrs Waterman s wonderful support We greatly enjoyed our Chrlstmas Party xn the Methodlst Church and Graduatron came before we knew ll All 1n all xt was a very successful year tmder the dtrectlon of Rog Hanlon Let Us Be Gay Movmg 1nto the new school was excltmg to everyone We wtsely re elected Rog Hanlon as Prestdent and w1th h1s help our record breakxng class kept true to tts tttle maklng our Sophomore Cxrcus and Dance one of the most successful ever held Ttme of Your Llfe We were proud to be the f1rst class to get the umform school r1ngs and bought them w1th prxde The hlghhght of the year was the J un1or Prom wh1ch we named Melody tn May over wh1chBarb Shep ard re1gned as queen When elect1ons came along Roger s from wh1ch Rog Hanlon emerged as Presldent ofthe Stu dent Councll.
