'k:1TAT ION , I-U All of us remember clearly the twenty frrst day of March, 1952 Many learned of the tragrc occurrence from the newspapers or radlo But there were others who stood rn the rarn and cold and saw berng destroyed before theu' very eyes, the school whrch represented a dearly loved storehouse of frrendshxps and pleas ant memones Our school burldtng was gone but after one week we were gorng to school agarn Yes, rt sounds xmpossrble but rt hap pened We would lxke to take thrs opportumty to thank the many people who made rt possrble for us to contrnue school rn famrl rar surroundmgs We hxghly praxse the Board of Educatron for nts work as a team wlnch was able to overcome seemnngly zmpossnble d1ff1 cultres But nn addrtron we would lrke to thank each xndrvrdual member who has so unselfrshly grven hrs ume and effort rn the past year and a half We thank Mr Fundrs and the faculty for part rn makmg up for our great loss To the servrce staffs of the school whxch have carned on then frne work, even under un usual condxtnons, we say thank you for our clean classrooms our prompt bus servxce and effxcnent cafeteria servlce To the trustees who so unhesxtattngly offered communrty burldxngs for our use, we say thank you for provtdrng our classrooms' and study halls To the carpenters, electrrcrans and plumbers who spent endless hours rn work on these buxldxngs, we say thank you for making comfortable and healthful the rooms rn which we work To the local polrcemen who regardless of the weather drrect traffxc at the begmnxng and close of school each day, we say thank you for helprng to rnsure our safety To the remarnrng crtlzens of the community we say thank you for your cooperauon and the varnous parts that you play whrch make us proud to be lrvrng rn a communxty wluch has been equal to such a tremendous task We, the students wlll always re member the prompt and sxncere actxon of the communrty rn our trme of need JAM . their.constant help and understandihg which has- played a major
