The only teac-hers we never had who are now teaching in the grades are Jliss Ilahn and Jliss 'l'hon1pson. Jliss Vlapp was then teaching the fourth grade and Jliss Dix the first grade. Junior Class The Junior class had a very outstanding year under the guidance of Miss Albro with Bliss Pettingill and Mr. Randall as assistant advisors. The most important event of the year was the Junior Prom on Slay 2. Uther events were the selection of class rings, a magazine campaign to raise money and an informal dance. Some of the outstanding people in the class are John Manilla, who won the 19-1-0 cup for the hest hoy athlete and Sunday Manilla. who won the 194-0 cup for the boy showing the most improvement in one year. The oflicers for the Junior f'lass were: President-Leo Heffernan, Vice- President-Burton Wilson, Secretary4Florence Tuck, and Treasurer-Charles lYiley. They were a competent group and helped to make the junior year a successful one. l 20 l

Freshman Class The ninth grade, the Junior High seniors of 1941, have set a record for high standings. They have participated in all extra-curricular activities of the school. They have had several social events, the high light of which was the Christmas party with Don YYhiting. as Santa Vlaus. The Class had the hanking honor several times hut its greatest honor was having had so few students on the weekly failing list. For treasury funds the class sold candy and produced the Jollies . This year, this popular entertainment took the form of an operetta, Bits of Blarney . Characters from the ninth grade included David Amerman, Richard Evans. Janet DelYitt, Barhara Burhans. Patricia Stearns and Gwendolyn Bentley. The money from these sources financed the annual graduation banquet in June and other graduation expenses. The class numhered sixty-five. Its officers were: Janet DeYYitt-President. Richard Hoffman -Vice-President. Patricia Flannigan4Secretary. and lYilliam Gilhert4Treasurer. lffl
