Both fun and work mixed during meetings as the staff typed names, wrote copy, titled candids, planned sales and advertising, painted posters, and consumed gallons of coffee. Under the leadership of Mrs. Coombe, adviser, and Louise Oxtoby, edi- tor, the staff worked to achieve accuracy and completeness while- creating layouts in a modern style. The staff tried to make this, the 1956 Buccaneer, the best possible record of our school year. . .of our Drake days.
