The Three Cheers under their head, Nanci Mulloney, gave the Rally Committee its oomph. The pre-Volleio rally was so inspirational that the varsity basketball team came home with the league championship. The committee followed up the victory with an impromptu post-game rallythe next day. One of the goals of the Spring Rally Committee was to afford recognition to the spring sports: basketball, swimming, tennis, track, golf, and baseball. Because of the interest and work of the committee, these sports were given the glory they deserved . Applause resounds throughout the gym in acknowledgment of a well performed program. This fall Drake gave a number ot outstanding assemblies resulting from the work of the Program Committee under the leadership of laddie Zumwalt. The variety show put on by San Francisco State was received with much enthusiasm, as was the Christmas program given by Drake's A Cappella Choir. The juniors' assembly, Music From l900, the first class program of the year, was highly acclaimed by the entire student body. Those posters plastered on the walls around the campus advertising games, dances, and other school activities are provided by the hardworking Publicity Committee. Under Sally McHenry in the fall, the group turned out beautiful posters by the peck, as well as artistic banners telling of Drake's football victories. The Publicity Committee certainly has effective ways of advertising, eh whot?? FIRST ROW, left to right: Carol Manchester, Emilita Anderson, Sue Gaylord, Lynette Porteous, Bonnie Lee, Lois Nickerson.
